An early morning shoot on my birthday was predicted to be some spectacular light. I left home around 6.30am and headed up onto the moors to be greeted by snowfall which wasn't forecast until much later that day. Nevertheless I continued up to Staple tor and met up with =Alex37. I've visited this location on many occasions but not in conditions like this so I decided to make the best of the unplanned conditions by shooting the main stacks of the moor.

Looks like a concept shot for some Lord of the rings set or something, very eerie and mysterious location. Looking good mate, I dig the whole lack of saturation here.

It wasn't that cold, although I was running around in a very warm coat so it probably was!
