Image

Since shooting this back in late summer I have been debating whether to submit this image or more importantly to include it in my portfolio, it is rare for me to include modern man made elements in my images and something I have not had much interest in doing previously. However many structures are becoming common place in our landscapes and they can somewhat add a story to the picture.

Location

Widgery Cross, Dartmoor, UK

Last time I was there I was nearly blown off the top by storm force winds.
Tis a very sketchy shoot as you know. I didnt like my captures and so never worked them.
This is lovely, the clouds and sun star effect suggests a calmer day.....However this place is always windy and turbulent.
Its held together by metal work if I remember right?
A great vista from that spot. Strange `cause I was thinking of heading there again soon as I dont explore that side of the moor enough.
Can now as Alex is away, I dont feel like Im tresspassing!!

*clearing the backlog*

It took me a while to find a good composition here and after running up there I was pretty exhausted! It's a great side of the moor to explore and well worth a visit
